Help with Logitech Wingman Formula

I've got a new problem with my Logitech Wingman Formula (NON FF). All
of a sudden the wheel visually started "twitching" (are these the
"spikes" that you with FF wheels refer to?) Happens at rest and on the
track. Usually they're mild, but sometimes they are extreme enough to
cause a loss of control. It's happening with GPL too. I'm running a
466 Celeron, 128 mb RAM, TNT2 AGP w/32 mb RAM, and a Soundblaster
Live! Value. Everything was fine until about three weeks ago. No
changes have been made to my system during that time. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the pot is on the way out or in need of a clean.

If you feel able you can take the wheel apart and clean the pot with
isopropanol. I've had my wheel for two years now and I clean the pots
when they start to spike. It works a treat for me, they're as good as
new for a couple of months at least, then I just clean 'em again.

Good luck.

Gerry-

Sounds like that would be worth a shot- I'll try it when I get home. Thanks.
