I think the PROBLEM with that screen is twofold. The Sierra logo looks
like a logo,
not a clikable button AND the manual says you have to register at
Flipside.com(another Havas step-child) but NOWHERE in the multiplayer
screens do you see the flipside
logo.
also they changed the way you connect slightly. before you went to the
WON.net servers first then if you chose, used an ip address to connect or
use the displayed races via Won. But now it's reversed, you immeadiately
are at the address screen with nothing
displayed that moves you on to the next item...i.e. flashing arrows pointing
at the Sierra logo...The Sam & Max people could have made a very interesting
menu display for this...:)

Maybe a lot of folks don't realize that when you click on the column title it
sorts the available races alternately in ascending and descending order by that
factor....If you are looking for a certain track you can have races in
alphabetical order....or for latency minimums or current pings to look for
races that you might be able to r;un with little warp....or even to sort by
whether or not you need a password.
Why didn't Pappy put any worthwhile info and instructions in the game?????

Don't you think that this is all common sense? I mean, if I see a column or
multiple columns, my immediate instinct is to see if I can sort a column
though clicking it. Who really doesn't know this? I'd guess that most of
us do. The ones who don't are the ones who ask such questions as, "How do I
play N4 online"?
In writing a manual one has to consider what to include and what not to
include. If you try from the onset to include everything, you'll be writing
until the Second Coming. You must therefore assume a certain amount of
common knowledge from your readers, and I consider sortable columns and
other things in N4 common knowledge, which would, as a matter of course, not
be included in the manual.

What were we talking about again?
