Just got a new system with a voodoo 3 2000 card

I copied GPL from my old HD. I changed the rasturizer.dll in the INI file to
the 3dfx vers. When I load the game I get the 3dfx logo and then it boots me
back to winblows.!!

HELP  please!!!

Try reinstalling GPL on the new machine then copy over top of it with the one
from the old drive.

Jason.

I tried that but it seems the CD doesn't work anymore.
How can I get GPL working without the CD now?
Is there a glide file that I have to put into the GPL directory?

Oh, I forgot:
Download and install the GPL patch from www.papy.com

Make sure there is not an old glide2x.dll in your GPL directory.

Get the latest voodoo3 drivers from www.3dfx.com

Disable the voodoo3 logo (control panel-display-settings-advanced-3dfx
tweaks-disable the splash screen)

Get GPL Fix from http://www.the-fastlane.com/patches.htm Here's the
description:

registry (that's what those .SYS files were), and special registry entries
have to be made to force the services to load.
The appropriate registry entries will be created, and the two system

location.

The Fast Lane also has a no-cd patch.

Good Luck!

I believe that transfering the game from one hard drive to a new one
will not work. I think you need to do a new installation of the game
to allow the setup process to make changes to your system files. Then
you can transfer your old cars, sound, setups, etc. to the new
install. I just upgraded to a P3 - 600 with Voodoo 3 and everything is
fine. Do not forget to install the patch or else your GPL screens will
be a mess!
I think you said in another post that you "lost" your cd. Try to
borrow one or go buy a new one. I hope this helps you.
