Nascar 3 and Direct 3D problem Help?

by lamouche... » Tue, 28 Dec 1999 04:00:00

In short, a fast way to solve this problem for me has been to go from
64MB to 128MB. On my system (Celeron300Aat450MHz,CL TNT), I was having
this big delay and also pauses during the first laps. Now, all those
problem have gone since I have added memory.

N3 is great, but from the D3D point of view, it looks like a "patched"
version. Dunno if it is really due to the inferiority of D3D or due to
the bad programming, but I find the D3D performance of this game very
deceiving.

Nascar 3 and Direct 3D problem Help?

I can't even get N3 to run in D3D, locks me up every time as I go to the
track.  This is with a Diamond Monster Fusion 16meg card.  Plays great in
glide, but wanted to do my own side by side comparison.  Any ideas?
