GPL direct 3d blurriness - PLEASE HELP!?

by Matthew Nethercot » Tue, 13 Feb 2001 16:06:07

Hi all,

I have only recently purchased GPL (what a fantastic sim), have patched to
latest patch along with the Direct 3D patch and I find that the gauges and
***pit look a little bit fuzzy/blurry (particulary the tacho) running in
all resolutions (I am running 1024x768 on a TNT 2 with latest Nvidia Ref
drivers), and was wondering if there is a fix, or if that is just the way it
is when using D3D in GPL?

Thanks for any info, goddamn I love this sim :)

It's not a D3D thing, the dash looks the same in Glide or OpenGL, it's just
a low-res filtered texture.  You're not supposed to be able to read the
numbers on the dials with the default textures.  Check out the links
supplied by Pete and Alastair and try some of the higher res dashes.
