Problem: Nascar and Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro

Hi,

Has anyone here discovered a problem with running NASCAR1 or NASCAR2 with the
above joystick.

When you start Nascar1, the menu options start going nuts.  They just seem to
randomly go all over the place.  In Nascar2, the joystick is only in affect
when you are driving, so what happens there is when you go to the track to
drive, the car starts moving on its own, then braking and backing up and going
in circles (in no particular order).

I was able to fix the problem with Nascar1 by uninstalling the 3DPro Joystick
Drivers, but the problem still persists in Nascar2, I cant even calibrate the
joystick because as soon a the calibration window comes up, the joystick
clicks itself and the window closes.  The only way that I was able to get
around it is to flick the switch on the bottom that emulates different flight
sticks and then re-calibrate and then it works. But I have to do it every
time.

Anyone know what might be the problem...

Dean

Problem: Nascar and Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro

Hi,

I don't have a problem running with the Sidewinder 3D Pro in NASCAR 1.  I
just calibrated the the joystick and it has worked fine.  Even using the
3D Pro drivers.  I don't have NASCAR2 yet (can't afford it right now) so I
don't know what to tell you there.  I also have a question, though.

Is there anybody out there that has raced with a joystick and found
controlling the car very difficult.  I realize that some of it may be due
to inconsistency on my part, but I'm tired of crashing out of races,
especially when I am leading.  I have thought about messing with the Wheel
Lock, but I don't know which way to go.

Thanks in advance,
Curtis
