Someone has smounted it ?
How is made the position controller .
I read that there is a small camera that see a led .
Is possible to replace this position system with a potenziometer position
system ?
I have to apply force feedback to my homebuild symulator but the problem is
to connect the potenziometers of my sim to the joystick .

Help me please !!!

Ciao Stefano

The short answer is no.  The optical detector would not be easily
replacable with a potentiometer.

I don't really see why you would want to do this ?  The optical
positioning makes it much more accurate and stable than potentiometers
ever could.  I don't know what game you want to use it with,
but most modern (Win95) games would support the digital joystick
inerface, and they would be the games that would support feedback.
So why not use it as it was intended ?

Stefano,
Ciao.....and your English is a hell of a lot better than my Italian....:-).
The Sidewinder Precision Pro series of controllers are all digital/optical
so it would take an entire re-design of the controller to allow the use of
potentiometers. Force-feedback is pretty much universal, with the use of
motors to convert the incoming signal to movement. You may be better off to
try one of the analog FF controllers (CH??) for better compatibility with
your simulator. Wish you luck.......
