NFS and Microsoft Sidewinder Pro in digital mode?

NFS and Microsoft Sidewinder Pro in digital mode?

Does anyone know whether NFS (SE) supports the MS Sidewinder-joystick in
its native, digital mode?

I ran a few demo's of racing games and I don't like the response of the
joysticks (neither the Sidewinder nor others). The tartan feels as if it
is covered with soap (maybe it is just me... but I heard that the
joystick-handling of the PC's is a bit awkward (designed in ancient
times)), and I hope that the response of the Sidewinder in digital mode
is more precise.

Thanks for any info.

I have found that with my Sidewinder 3dPro, it is somewhat easier to
"catch" the car when i lose control, and in long curves(like on Autumn
Valley) i can hold a line consistently through and be smooth. With my old
stick i would get a headache from see-sawing back and forth across the
track.

hope this helps

NFS does not support digital mode joysticks. The sidewinder will
work, but only in analog mode. Not many current games support
digital mode joysticks, but hopefully they will in the future.
