Exactly, now you've got the point! It's not our business.
We don't ***in' care.
So don't apologize, no reason to.
It's just that 99,999% of the people here couldn't care less.
The 0,001% covering you plus any of your relatives gaining something
from your recent investment. That's the Way of the World, Morris.

Don't be upset, I kinda thought "only 600". With the Athlon 700 out, I
thought I'd see one of those "I can't wait for my 700 to get here" post.
I had a PIII 450, and it was not the greatest chip for GPL (at the start of
a full race it was slow), and my old PIII was faster than your 400, so, you
will see a difference at the start of races.
Oh and by the way, who cares what your going to do with the old computer,
out with the old, in with the new.

Well whaddya think?
Because someone has to tell him, since he obviously doesn't know.
Like you just now.

Ask here first, then buy, not the other way around. Your current strategy is
probably one of the reasons why you had a P2 400 before instead of an
overclocked Celeron 300A.
If you want to tell someone you bought a new puter, tell your friends, not
this NG... unless you have a question about it :o). If you post it here we
might think you have no friends, which is okay of course, but if you have
needs like having to tell someone you bought a new puter, then you should
get some friends.
/Chrille, I wont post here when I've ordered my Ferrari F355 Spider... Well
okay, I might, cause I'm only human, but I wont get upset if you get rude...
Okay, I might that too, cause again - I'm only human ;o)
He -needs- to know that we don't care because....?
I've read God knows how many posts that I don't care about as I trawl through
usenet but don't feel the need to respond to them all.
If you don't calm down soon you'll end up on a cardiac ward, and we'll all
miss that friendly, warm tone of yours ;-)
Cheers

Well, aren't you the brilliant one...
So that next time he'll know better, and instead of Usenet hellholes
he'll direct the news to his friends and closest ones who genuinely do
care, and get the response he could welcome, rather than the less
understanding concerto which only seemed to disappoint him. Of course,
anyone can post just about anything they wish to this ng - as you can see
- but the point was that since Morris was a bit upset about the reception
of his undeniably quite innocent & enthusiastic message, he would be well
adviced to keep those kind of news to himself and his friends. And those
with a thicker skin... just keep posting whatever you want, makes very
little difference to either party. What I did was point out what I
perceived to be the simple, albeit harsh reasons for the group's
reactions.
Good for you. Neither do I. On average I post one message to each 600-800
messages I've read. Consider yourself exceptionally unlucky. OTOH, luck
has nothing to do with it, almost everyone pays most attention to
messages in which their own words are questioned. I'm not an exception,
even if the actual subject has become most insignificant.
I'll take whatever comes my way, be it a cardiac arrest. I do have an
inborn heart murmur and arrhytmia but that has never stopped me from
expressing my opinions the way I see fit. I rather die knowing that I've
done it my way than live as the one who kneels. The record shows, I took
the blows, as the classic says.

Back at you pal, I don't see you fooling the grim reaper either, no
matter how tiny flame you've got. Wouldn't want it any other way, for
that matter.
