That's why I'm gonna wait to upgrade

I really love this game and I really suck at it. but I finaly got down
to 136's at Monza and broke the 11 minute barrior at Nurburgring.  :)

on a 233mmx oc'ed to 266 and stealth 2 video, 64 megs. I get a
constant 36fps with a full field  but i only see the AI at the very
beginning of the race and as they gradually lap me   :)

hehehe  That's what I decided, too!  Going to take a year to get fast enough
to lose a race, as opposed to just get left behind.

36fps? You have plenty of frame rate. I have a P166,80mb ,V2 12mb and I am
only getting 7 to 16 fps in a race with 5 cars and only the road and walls
for graphics. The best I could do at Monza in the demo was high 136's. In
the full version I changed the car setup and stiffened up the car. It made
it easier to "hang on" and recover a slide but a little more push and I got
down to low 131's with only 8 laps of practice.
I can keep up with the computer cars in Novice if I dont make a mistake. I
make a lot of mistakes.
There is a Driver.inf file and a GPL_AI.inf  file that can be modified to
make the AI cars drive like we do.
