Can't turn on anti-aliasing in F1C

by <sbenne.. » Mon, 18 Aug 2003 00:10:04

I recently bought f1c, and when doing the 3d setup I was
suprised to see that the checkbox that allows me to turn on
anti-aliasing is missing. I have f12002 installed, and its
3d setup has the anti-aliasing checkbox. I have anti-aliasing
enabled for f12002 and it works fine. Why do you think this
option is missing for me in f1c?. My video card is a Mobility Radeon 7500.
It seems strange that it works for f12002 and not for f1c.
Anybody else have this problem? Is there any other way I can turn on
anti-aliasing?

Thanks,
Steve

(sorry if this post shows up twice, google gave me an error the first
time, but sometimes it gets posted anyway)

Force it on in the ATI control panel.

Thanks Andrew,

I tried that, but now the program freezes after I load a track.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to get used to the jaggys.
I wish they hadn't changed that aspect of the game, because anti-aliasing
worked flawlessly with f12002 on my setup.

I don't notice many jaggies at 1600x1200.  What resolution are you running
at?

I had been running 800x600, but your post made me realize
I could afford to go to a higher resolution without anti-aliasing.
Now at 1024x768 it looks good. Thanks.
