CPR - Full Screen/3D problem

by Michael Concin » Sat, 15 Nov 1997 04:00:00

I just installed CPR.  In the options screen (full screen) I pick 3D accel.
Everything's OK 'til the track loads- I get a message that it can't change
to full screen mode then minimizes.  When I maximize, the screen is black
(program's running; I can hear it).  I've got a Millenium II/R3D combo.  How
do I get this to run in 3D accel. mode ?

Thanks

Mike

I don't believe the Millenium 2 supports 3D.  As with the original
Millenium.  They are make primarily for 2D and do the best job at it.  If
you want to use 3D accel. you will have to get a rendition or 3DFX card...
I use a Diamond Monster 3D because It's an add-on card that works well with
the Millenium, and 3DFX is supported by most new games.

Yes I know that; but in my message I mentioned that I have a Millenium
II/R3D.
R3D=Orchid Righteous 3D.  I've never had this problem before with a 3D game.

Yes, I have Direct X 5.0 installed.  This is confirmed when I run the DXinfo
app in my Direct X Folder.
