 <Deja Vu>
The combination of dual axis and forced ABS makes it impossible to evaluate
the physics model. Even with ABS set at 40% the slightest accellerator lift
results in a lockup. I hope I've missed something during control
config........If not I won't bother.

You've probably explained it correctly, but I don't understand what the
problem is. What is locking up when you lift off the accelerator?

The same happens to me....when I lift off the accelerator it seems to put on
full brakes

Yep same here, and no this ain't mechanical braking and aero drag.

What's this ? I just downloaded the game ! If tthis is true I sure hope the
fix this when the game comes in a final version.

Did anyone actually get it to work with split axis at all ?

It may be a feature. It was for Psygnosis F1 a few years ago.

Y the reason it does that is cos split axis hasnt been implemented properly
yet...brakes will automatically come on when the throttle has been lifted,
if you have split the axis

Your controller isn't setup right :-( I had the same problem, I needed
about an hour to get it right. Physics in F1RC are ok, quite good
actually, so far I can tell with the ABS and slide control mode on.
The controller setup however.....

No, I don't have a magic trick how to solve the problem. Just play
around until it finally works.... :-(

Yup...what he said.

I've got the MS non ff wheel........set the wheel properties to "combined"
(ie, not split axis), and when you lift off the accelerator, the brakes wont
come on.

I just tried the demo yesterday and it felt to me like the car was
raised a foot off the road. No feeling for the road at all. Lowering
ABS and slide control won't fix that at all.

Yeah, instant brakes upon accellerator lift, I just ran a lap at Spa and
didn't even touch the brake pedal. I just read where setting combined axes
will correct that problem but it amazes me that there continues to be games
released without split axes support.

Are your pedals configured to separate axes?

It does have split axis support. Something is wrong with the way the demo is
working with your setup. It is a beta demo so it's not a surprise. Try the
high Gear forums and see if anyone can help. www.simracingnews.com

Your right about that.  Here's my setup :

Joystick 1  X-axis : Wheel
Joystick 1  Y-axis : non-separate pedals
Joystick 2  X-axis : CH pedals gas
Joystick 2  Y-axis : CH pedals brake

Anyway, saying that it does have split axis support doesn't mean it models
correctly the usage of two pedals at the same time.  F1RC is growing on me,
but if they can fix that it won't be long installed.

Yes, they are.
