Anyone get this combo working?

All the sims I'm playing right now (DTR, TOCA2, Viper, GPL, SCGT)
support split axis. It's a minor hassle to have to switch to combined
axis to play RC2000. I can't get it to work when set to 3 axis.

Actually, it wouldn't be a hassle at all, but I prefer not to use the
Logitech Profiler and I sometimes forget to switch the axis settings
before starting the game.
It's funny, out of all the types of sims, a rally sim is the one you'd
MOST expect to support this, since it mimics really rally driving
style.

No!
We'll have to wait for a patch...

Well, it is not a sim, it's pure arcade!
(But even so it should support split-axis)

I have my Microsoft Force Feedback wheel working with independent pedals, by
1) choosing '2 axis and pedals' option in the game, and 2) using the
'combine y axis to pedals' in the MS software for the wheel itself. Why this
works I have no idea.

If split axis isn't "independant pedals" would you please explain what it
is?  MF actually incorporated a request I made for RC into the final code
to get my pedals on Joy-1 to work with my wheel on Joy-2.  Would this be
what is known as split axis?

If yes - I'll post the directions to get this to work.

Rally 2000/LWFF split axis

Perhaps I misunderstood, but 2 axis is not using a split axis for the
pedals--3 axis is.

With split axis pedals, 3 axes are used: x, y and a third (usually called
r).

With every other title in existence, you can't have independent operation of
the pedals without using 3 axes.  Some titles, like N3 apparently, support
the split axis configuration, but still do not permit independent operation
of the pedals.  RC2000, I can only assume, does not support independent
operation or they would have not screwed up such a fundamental aspect of the
"released version" of the game.  They may have tried to add-in split axis
support at the last minute to aid those people with controllers who don't
want to have to change their set-up back to 2 axis just to play RC2000
(me!!!!!!!).

For the record, it was my intervention that got us analogue controls in RAC
Network Q Rally Championship.  What was a very decent title for its time was
completely ruined by digital (on/off) acceleration and braking.  I also
pleaded to have it added to the Add-on pack--but only an unreleased beta
version of analogue controls made it my way (it works fine though, but has a
testing read-out in the corner of the screen!!!).

At the time I thought how could so much thought and care be taken in
recreating all the stages, but then***something like the controls up so
badly.  It reminded me of the "physics" discussions re: RC2000.  But the
granddaddy of all examples of this has to be SOS '37.  What a colossal
example of failed potential.
