Logitech Formula Force - question for owners

Logitech Formula Force - question for owners

To anyone with a Logitech Formla Force steering wheel;

With the power switched off, when you turn the wheel from side to side does
it move completely smoothly, or is there a slightly 'bumpy' feel to it?  I
just bought mine and it has the latter which I'm not sure if it is a fault
or whether it is a characteristic of the mechanism.

Many thanks for your help.

Yep, slightly "notchy feel" to it wth power switched off. Dont worry
about it though, I'm sure its perfectly normal.
I've had my wheel for over a year now and its as rock solid as the day I
bought it.
Make sure you download the latest drivers though, they give a lot more
strength to the feedback than the ones that were bundled with the wheel.

cheers,

Ah, good to here more people have noticed this. I've also had it since the
first day, but now that I own it for almoast half a year, it still feels the
same.

I purchased a Logitech FF in june, It was smooth with the power off.
I gave that one to my friend and purchased another one In December.

That one has a notchy feel to it.  The newer one has the firmer
upgraded Brake and Gas pedals. It also seems to have much stonger FF
effects when compared to the one I purchsed  in June.
