by Tilu » Tue, 30 Mar 1999 04:00:00

Hello !

I am selling my ASUS TNT 3400/TV, i expect a huge price drop of TNT1 cards,
and planning to go for V3, S4, or TNT2.
Now i have to get a real cheapo card, to make that 3-4 weeks...
chanses are:
getting a used redition ( very rare )
Savage 3d ( is it works whit GPL ? )
V550 8mb ( dirty cheap, compared to my ASUS TNT 16mb/TV in/out card )

Please help, does the Savage works whit openGL patch ?

Thanks
Tilus

I have a savage and  as long as you get the newest bios and driver files it
works exceptionally well also the real 3d starfighter agp is a flat out kick
ass <oops can I say that here> board for 2d/3d  its a modified intel740 chip
manufactured by Lockheed martin originally for use in there simulators the
only real problem I have had with the  savage is once I screwed with he
settings in control panel and had choppy ness then I changed em again and it
works even better  also it does run kinda warm not a necessity but it does
help if you can provide forced airflow over the chip or mount a fan on it
for extra fun
