notebook, with a Savage IX chip in it (basically a 0.18 micron Savage4
core). The short answer is, still no luck. The ultimate GPL Lan party
machine will still have to wait. Boo hoo. I fiddled with all the core.ini
settings (I have DX7), but it kept crashing back to the desktop without even
displaying the splash screen. A pity, really, as the chip itself isn't an
utter dog. It manages to throw around some very lush NFS:Porsche visuals in
D3D at up to 50fps at 800x600. An in the end, that's what my computer did
last night. I gave up on GPL again and immersend myself once more in Ferry
Porsche's lovely little world.
