Possibly. I don't think any worthwhile mods were made for this game. They
all appeared for 2001.
Was the Alfa 147 mod available for it ? If so, all is not lost.
The first one in the series was indeed a pretty poor offering...

Never played that one...you do realize that its 4 years old? That in itself
would almost make it a bad game ;)
There is only one racing game I know of that has held up reasonably well for
that many years...GPL

The only EA/ISI F1 games worth getting are F1-2002 (for GTR-2002) and
of course, F1-C for all the numerous mods for it including MCO, ETCC,
JGTC and the upcoming World GT.

If you paid 5 bucks for it (same price as a rental from Blockbuster) and
play it twice, then no...
If you paid more than 5 bucks for it, yes...

F12000 - SGGT with open wheel cars
F12000 Championship season - improved version
F12001 - clear improvement over F2000
F12002 - clear improvement over F2001 (to me, the biggest jump in the
series)
F1C - another incremental improvement (but not as dramatic as F2002
was over F2001, IMHO)
I'd disagree. The only real improvement between F1C and F1 2002,
aside from slightly better multiplayer, was the vastly improved
parameters used to model the F1 cars, but to me that was such a huge
improvement that it overshadowed all the other improvements that had
been made in the series. F1C was the first time they had come
anywhere near to convincingly modelling an F1 car.
