the Creative Labs drivers. Are most of you running the drivers provided by
the card manufacturer or the latest drivers provided by nVidia ?
Thank you,

Nvidia reference drivers are usually the most advanced
and best performing. If you are concerned about stability
the WHQL certified versions should give you the correct
warm and fuzzy feelings (even if you fall from grace and
run Windows XP)
If your vendor strays too far from the Nvidia reference
model you may have trouble with some nvidia tweaking utils
like nvmax (which thankfully has a force option) so there
is another good reason to use detonator refs.
Post patch, F12001 runs at ludicrous speed with the
latest and greatest from nvidia. In short - grab a copy
of the latest drivers and if all is stable, sit tight until a
major release (eg 14.xx -> 21.xx). The bigger releases
tend to have performance enhancements, the minors
are often bugfixes for certain architectures. Before
upgrading, it's a good idea to check say sharkyextreme.com
or similar for any benchmarks/comments on the new
driver set. Some releases are slower!
The only gotcha - watch out for bits of old drivers - detonators
are notorious for not being removed correctly. There is a
program available which will remove all old nvidia files from
your system prior to an upgrade.
Hope this helps.

Anybody knows what's the difference between the 14.xx and 21.xx drivers? I tried
both but haven't figured out any difference.
And where can you find the detonator driver remove proggie?
TIA

Don't really know much about the 14 series as I
went from 12 to 21.xx. I was using it as an example.
I don't believe the performance improvements were
on the same scale as the 21.xx drivers upon release.
