Hi,
My T2 has been out of action for a while now due to a strange jerk
to the right when I was calibrating the wheel to turn left! The new GPL
demo finally made me try to do something about it. I stripped the wheel
right down this evening and cleaned the steering pot. I tested it before
putting it all back together and it worked again! Yes!!! Unfortunately
as I was putting the wheel back together, I managed to break two of the
three wires going to the steering pot. As I didn't intend taking these
off in the first place, I didn't write down in advance which wire went
to which contact.
Could someone please tell me the correct order? It would be most
appreciated.
Also, when I was testing after cleaning, Windows95 insisted the
joystick wasn't connected (wasn't using the adaptor), but the Screamer
Rally config worked fine. I'm going to try the Thrustmaster Pro Panel,
but has anyone got any other ideas?
Lastly, back to GPL. I can't believe the way it feels. Every lap
amazes me. I've been following Papyrus sims since Indy 500 on the Amiga
and have always liked their `realistic` driving models.
I've spent more time driving the one circuit in the FREE GPL demo
than I have playing some other full driving `sims`.
Again, many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
