There really should be an FAQ. 1. I used to run gpl on geforce at
1280x1024 and it rocked. Install the latest drivers per standard
operating procedure THEN place the openGL.dll from the 3.68 drivers in
the GPL directory. This way, you get the advantages of the latest
drivers for all your games except GPL, which will use the 3.68s.
2. I've switched to a v5 and I think the fsaa looks great. Image
quality on opengl is a bit richer but I don't think I could ever go
back. Using some tweaks I'm running 8x6x4aa and it looks great and the
lowest i've seen it was 33.x fps and i think that was due to sunspots.
Ideally a GPL freak should wait for the v5-6k. You could probably run
4x fsaa at 1280x1024 (might be a bit optimistic but Yikes!!! would
that look good).
