GIVE US SOME REAL INFO ON GPL PATCH&GPAL

I'd just like something to come through an official stream, Sierra or Papy,
doesnt matter. Why are they keeping their mouths shut when everyone is
obviously getting e***d, e***ment which is now turning to impatience?

As for Gpal, I know Jack you're not to blame, but could you try and be more
precise as to the availability date, and what the hold ups may be exactly,
is Gpal finished or are you waiting for the Patch? Please tell us what  and
if you can. We're all looking forward to this great bit of software, and I
hope your hard work is rewarded as it deserves.

P.S. I know the patch is gonna be great, but I love software you can fiddle
with, so I'm looking forward more to Gpal than the patch, while    we'll all
be glad if all these online problems (or most of them) are solved.
Best wishes to Jack, you've really got me going like it was Christmas day
when i was about 5yrs old <VBG>

Hmm...

I see in this newsgroup plenty of information about the upcoming Patch for
GPL.  We have the full English version of the readme.txt, and some pretty
good explications from Randy and Eric about more technical questions.
Plenty of questions answered about the client/server additions to the patch,
and hints about FF, etc..

What do you want more ?

Ross...

GPaL is not awaiting GPL 1.1...It's waiting on me to finish all the
"must-have" items...shouldn't be too long now. If that seems a little vague,
my guess is that you haven't "enjoyed" any time in the software development
business. ;-) As Microsoft, Papyrus and anybody else in the business will
tell you, estimating delivery dates is anything but an exact science.

If receiving GPaL makes it feel like Christmas for you, I'd estimate that
today's date is somewhere in the range of December 23-25.

Perhaps some folks write without thinking first? :)  Personally I was
pleased that they put up the readme.txt file...now I'm starting to rework
setups to the 2.5 ride height so I won't be caught too flatfooted. :)

Isn't it nice not having senior management know what the date is 18
months in advance?  Ah, that is unless you talk to yourself ....:)

I apologise for asking this question, as it must have been spoken
about many times before, but where can I find the readme.txt file you
spoke about?

LOL!

Yes, Jeff, doing your own thing does have its advantages. However, in the
case of GPaL, the following equations apply:

Senior Management = RAS + Beth

Beth = spousal unit

If you guys don't kill me, she will.

Have you been reading this news group?  What information are you asking

I believe its on Papyrus' site..but I don't know a good URL for it.  Try
around www.sierrasports.com and there should be a link.  Alternately, if you
go to www.simracingnews.com there is a link to the readme.txt there. :)

Jack,
Will it be essential to update GPL with the Papyrus patch in order to use
GPaL?
Or can your utility be used on the initial 1.0.0.0 version of GPL?

Best regards,
Bruce.
