Gran Turismo alias for PC??

Hi all,

Don`t know if someone else noticed, but there`s a new demo at Avault, of
something called "The Real Car Simulator", from a Japanese developer,
VR-1 (http://www.racesimcentral.net/), that feels very much like Gran Turismo
only with Nissans.

The demo only has one car and one track, but it seems like it could be
something...

I only tried it with keyboard, and only once, but the physics seem very
good: if you brake while turning, it stops turning, and when you let go
of the brakes, it tries to spin, etc.

Could someone try it and post impressions? I can only try it for real
tonight, but would like to know more sooner...

Also, the name "The Real Car Simulator" should ring a bell to PS
users...

DF

PS: the link is http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Theres also a demo for download at the developer`s site, but I don`t
know if it`s the same or not.

I'm playing it since yesterday. I'm not so font of Gran Turismo simply
because its too arcade, but I like this one.
The graphics aren't the best, but the physics feel like a real car. I play
it with my Force RS
It looks exatly like GT but it's a lot better with a good FF wheel.
Is there a full english version available too? My japanese isn't the best...

I installed this sim, but couldn't get past the Start, Configuration,
Exit screen,, I can arrow key to any of these choices but how do I
make a choice. Pressing the Enter key doesn't produce any results.

help !!!  LOL

Enter should do it.

Maybe you need to run the SIMRconfig.exe first ??

lines,, no text (siince I dont' have Japanese fonts on my computer)

I got the video card setup , but the controller screeen is almost
impossible to read.

Use your imagination...;-)

(copied from another thread...)
In the setup program there is a drop-down list for each axis, steering,
throttle, and brakes.
Just pick an axis in the list and then hit the button to the right of the
dropdownlist, and see if the marker is moving.
If it doesn't move try another axis in the list...;-)
The buttons to the right and left, above the axis, sets the range of the
axis.
Not quite sure what the center button does.
A bit strange though, I had to set the steering to move the opposite way in
the setup to get it to work right in the game ?

It was set to use my wheel and not the keyboard, got it working with
the keyboard.

The physics seem good, far above Porsche unleased, I'd say on level
with Viper Racing. You can four wheel drift through the turns like a
demon,, very cool

Get some real tracks and up the resolution, get ride of the Ridge
Racer HUD and get dashboard view, this sim might be a winner.

Hi,

Does anyone have information on when to expect the retail in stores?

Does any store pre-order this one?

Thx,
SYTEX
