Whoaaaa, slow down, you just made this guy believe that GPL would run on his
machine...remeber, he said he had a P133! To buy GPL to run it on that
computer would be a complete waste of money.
NASCAR 2 won't run any better as well! I had a P166 with a Voo1 until two
months ago, and in 3dfx mode I would have a choppier framerate than in
software mode! This was really amazing as you'd normally expect a game to
run BETTER, not worse.
To get a better performance with ICR2 you should add some RAM. When I
upgraded from 32 to 64 MB I saw a great inprovement - not only with ICR2.
MS Flightsim? Only if it's the 98 version. But then again you'll have to
turn off most of the fancy stuff especially on approach as framerate is
*very* important for staying on the slope - you know what I mean.
BUT: a 3dfx board is simply the best upgrade you could get for the money. It
helped me keep my good old P166 for two years until two months ago when it
finally got replaced. Err, when I finally had the $$ to get a *decent* one,
that is...

On a P166? Well, why should I spread bullshit here? When I say the
performance was worse, I MEAN it. N2 was also the only game that had this
effect.
Dude, what was wrong with the answer I posted? 'Nuff said! A *** computer
without a 3dfx board...naaw. But $69 isn't that much a bargain...it's the
regular price in Germany.
Take care,

Not to mention the new case and PC100 SDRAM he'll need (another $300
CDN) as well as all the other peripherals he should probably upgrade at the
same time (e.g. he's probably only got a 1GB HD in that 133 of his; Win98
will eat _huge_ amounts of that up right away; a 12x CDROM probably won't
cut the mustard in that spanking new system either; plus at least another
$150CDN for a decent 3D graphics card, $300CDN if you want a TNT ...)
It all adds up _really_ fast.
