I'll be getting a Pentium II soon, and it has AGP built in. I was just
wondering if anyone had heard of 3dfx cards that use AGP. Thanks.

At this point in time there is no OS support for the DIME/GARP aspect of
allocating main memory to the AGP graphics card. With the release of Win98
and NT5 that support is included. Another aspect of AGP is the main memory
bus speed. If your main memory bus speed is 66Mhz and you are using EDO or
FPM then there is not much advantage for AGP. When this is increased with
future chipsets (100Mhz) and using SDRAM then your AGP performance will have
dramatic increase over PCI. The 3DFX-2 code named Banshee is currently
under development. Until the "Planets" align I would continue using a PCI
3D accelerator.
