Sure you can still use your Rendition card in a PCI slot. The guy is
feeding you a line about the 3Dfx card being compatible with AGP. It's
a PCI card as well, only Voodoo 2 will come in an AGP version (actually
both PCI and AGP versions will be made).
If you only want to race N2, you might still consider the 3Dfx card.
Word is that there is a 3Dfx version of N2 in the works (finally), and
for anything other than N2 or IndyCar2, a 3Dfx card is far superior to a
Rendition card. If you play ICR2 as well, then maybe you oughta keep
the Rendition - we'll never see a 3Dfx port of that sim.
Unless you're dead set on an AGP vid card, why not just add a 3Dfx card
to your existing Rendition card? It's a great way to cover all the
bases when it comes to 3D support:
Rendition for N2, ICR2
3Dfx for both Direct3D and 3Dfx native support-only titles
