My new board has an AGP slot, and I can get an 8 MB AGP 3D/2D card for $30.
Will AGP work with Papy sims?  I mainly run N2(TPTCC) and N99, but will be
getting GPL soon.

As lons as your AGP card uses a REndition or 3DFX chipset, it will work.

If your primarily interested in Papy sims, the Rendition might be the
best way to go... I've got an AGP Genoa V-Raptor (Rendition 2200
chipset) in one of my machines, and it runs Papy's titles beautifully.

AGP will work, but for 30 bucks I would think that you are not getting a
card that will run very well in 3D apps. I would suggest making sure it has
support for D3D and OpenGL.
