Hasbro signs new multi-title multi-format Formula 1 deal

Games publisher Hasbro Interactive is set to lead the world of motor sport
*** with the signing of two huge deals. With the unrivalled reputation of
their MicroProse brand Hasbro is on the road to success by reuniting the F1
license and arguably the world's premier racing sim developer, Geoff
Crammond.

Hasbro Interactive has today formally announced a new five year,
multi-title, multi-format deal with Formula 1 to take motor sport ***
roaring into the next millennium. Formula 1 is the worlds' largest spectator
sport and the biggest license in racing history.

Crammond has committed himself to a long-term development licensing deal
with MicroProse, Hasbro Interactive's simulation game brand. Previously
responsible for the hugely successful titles: Grand Prix 1 and Grand Prix 2,
he will be working in conjunction with Hasbro's development studios in
Chipping Sodbury to ensure that future products are released as multi-format
titles.

Grand Prix 1 & 2 are widely recognised as the greatest driving games of all
time, with sales of the latter now topping 1.5 million units. The first
titles to come out of this new partnership will be Grand Prix 3, which is
due out later this year on PCCD.

Funny how this so called press-release which was supposed to have been
released a week ago does not show up on Hasbro's or Micropose's Press
release section of their web pages! Hrmmm.
I will not believe it until I here it from Hasbro or Micropose and read it
on their web sites.

Hasbro's most recent press release is on their site and is dated 5/27/99 and
has no mention of GP3. The press release that is supposedly circulating is
on the web is here: http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Now head to Hasbro's site and read their actual most recent press release
here:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
=6&item_id=33762
obviously it looks a lot different and is not formatted like most official
press release's

Everything else is an urbanlegend until it comes straight from Hasbro and is
posted in their press release section of their web page!

You're right to be suspicious. But just mail Hasbro support about GP3, and
you'll get a respons stating that GP3 is planned for later this year! Now that
would be some hacker to fake this :-)
