It's a European thing, I believe.

Maybe I'm a keyboard junkie because I cut my teeth in PCs back in the DOS
days but keyboard menus don't bother me in the slightest.  In fact I
probably prefer them and find them much faster to navigate but I agree that
they should have a mouse option for the 'windows' generation.

It's leftovers from the console port, lame but only tolerable cause the
sim is so damn great.

something like:

>> all the (CONFIRMATIONS) are users really in need to (CONFIRM) every
>> single menu change(CONFIRM)

>It's a European thing, I believe.

So that's where all those "Are you sure you want choose the 'Yes I'm
sure' option?" pop-ups came to Windows... :-P

Seriously speaking, it's a console thing.

I don't mind the keyboard menus at all, but I don't think that's what
the parent poster was on about.

I'm a linux user except for my ***, for the most part (though
admittedly I'm posting this from a Win2K box w/ Thunderbird), so I'm
used to using a keyboard and having it do what I ask it to do without
question.   IE, I typed "rm -rf <dirname>" because I wanted to type it,
so don't ask me if I really meant to do it.   RBR has an awful lot of
that "Did you really mean to go to Profile, hit enter, go to Save
Profile, and hit enter?"   Yes.   I did mean that.   Quit asking me.

comes to mind.....

You nailed it SWERVO thats exactly what I meant. I can understand a
CONFIRM as a second level confirmation (like when you delete a file)
but geeez everytime you make an entry on the keyboard is a bit rich.

still think the sim is excellent though 9/10 for mine
