This is probably old news, but the new PCGamer (Sept 99 US version) has a news brief about Geoff Grammond working on GP3 for Hasbro
Interactive. Its on page 49a at the bottom.
I have seen many posts claiming that there is going to be a GP3, but I just figured that its a lot of rumors. Hopefully PCGamer is
not just spreading more rumors, though I would think that they would check their sources. It just seems to good to be true, that is
if GP3 is as good as I expect it will be from Grammond.
So how long do we have to wait, and will I need to upgrade again?

And wasn't it the UK PCGamer which promised to have a preview of GP3
sometime last year? They still haven't had it... :-)
Though I think it has pretty much been confirmed that GP3 is being
developed now.

Hasbro made the blurb some time ago that they had bought the F1 rights and
got Crammond under their wing. I guess the month or so lag is why us net
gurus are so informed  :)

Apparantly 1st quarter 2000 is the target release window. Apparantly again
Geoff wont be taking any ***and will say when, which means the engine will
be less of a hog than the unoptimised gp2. Remember the first gp world
circuit game he made threw around a lot of polygons at fair speed on the
machines of the day so its not like he cant optimise given the chance!

Looking forward to gp3 like u wont belive.

October 1998 it was! The issue featuring the first GPL review :-)

In the "next issue" section they wrote "we will *absolutely definitely*
have the first screenshots of GP3".... And did they? No!
