I haven't seen any reviews for this game and was just wondering what peoples
opinion was ? Also what's the multi player game like ?

If it's as good as STCC1 - then it rocks.

I've got my copy of STCC2 winging it's way from Amazon as we speak

It's fantastic.
Great multiplayer, but sadly only a few players on the servers. But they are
GOOD !!
The online play is the best I have ever tried. Lag? What lag ??

Is it just being released in Europe?

Thought the demo was great, but I only buy what I can touch and
not over the net.

Cheers,
Rod.

It just came out here in the UK last week. Europe have had it for a few
months already. That must be why they are so ***y good at it ! Don't know
if the US is getting it, sorry.

You can get it from www.amazon.co.uk - i guess amazon.com might stock it
to? - Although in trying to get a dig cam for my Handspring Visor - that's
NOT the case

Don't know about the multiplayer game (yet to try it), but as far as I'm
concerned STCC2 is the best touring car sim at the moment. Believable
physics (it's not GPL, but...), nice graphics/sound, runs smoothly and AI is
managable once you get to know them.

EA have picked it up over here it's now readily available in stores. Don't
know about the US, sorry.

Have the patches solved the weird car behaviour?

STCC2 - How Good ?

I played this game pretty solidly for a week or so, now, and I've changed my
opinion radically- it IS a good game! My argument about the car not feeling
right was (mostly) putto rights by a pre-made setup for my wheel, and my
other main beef was the ultra-quick slowing of the car when I took my foot
off the pedal...turns out it wasn't actually doing that, but the engine
sound told me that it was. So, maybe some sort of sound fix is in order, but
this really is rather a good game! (Look for Stig Harris in the Telenordica
server, that's me...)
 So, <through gritted teeth> I...was...wron.....(no, I can't even type it!)

Guess the same goes for me too...
I didn't think much of it either but other peoples enthousiasm about it
made me give it another shot... Then i started trying other people's
set-up's i found on the net. Whoa, that made a difference! Turned out
that the problems i had with steering was totally dependent on the car's
set-up and not the wheel set-up.
Only wish for a bit tougher AI though...

>What weird car behaviour Andre?

You didn't have problems with STCC2? There was some really wrong with
the car behaviour, but I couldn't lay my finger on it. Is has been too
long ago for me to remember exactly, but I believe it was something
like this: When you were driving too fast into a corner, normally you
would give less throttle to get the car closer to the apex.
But in STCC2 you got closer to the Apex when you pushed the throttle!
I remember Greger Veble explained the problems of STCC2 here in an
excellent post, I tried to find it for you on Deja, but no luck :(

Besides, steering itself felt wrong, at least with my LWFF. Hard to
describe, but when entering a corner the car would hardly turn, and
then suddenly it turned way to much. Steering in STCC2 compared to my
real life steering was out of sync.. (does that makes sense? :)

Interesting.. As I just posted above in this thread, I have a weird
steering behaviour too, but this will be solved by chancing the car
setup?? Do you have an url for me please with some setups I could try?

I'm not sure it will solve all your problems, but you really oughtta
give it a try. I've found set-up's for the BMW made by a guy named
Mikko on http://www.stcc2.net/ and they are very good.
Tried the same set-up with the Volvo and Audi and i was all over the track,
that's when i started realising that my steering probs didn't came
from my wheel-settings, but from totally wrong set-up's by me...
