Looks like EA will be selling STCC2 through most of Europe.
here is a news blurb from ign.com

EA to Release Scandinavian Racing Game in Europe

There's nothing better than playing a racer with cars we can't pronounce!

February 1, 2001

Swedish game developer Digital Illusions is happy. As their previously
Scandinavian-only racing title, STCC 2 has been given the go-ahead from
Electronic Arts of Europe, and will soon be gracing store shelves all over
the motherland sometime soon.
"We firmly believe that the research and development that Digital Illusions
have channeled into STCC 2 has resulted in one of the most fun & involving
driving experiences around that truly help recreate the speed and e***ment
of the Touring Car races." commented Jason Berisford, Assistant Producer
Electronic Arts.

Best described as a racing simulator, STCC 2 was developed in close
conjunction with Swedish Nissan driver Carl Rosenblad and will feature 9
tracks and all the drivers and teams from the Scandinavian Touring Car
Championship League. No word yet on a stateside release.

I still haven't found this game in UK. Is it an import only thing ?

As far as I know the game hasn't been released yet. The PR Avault posted was
released by Digital Illusions on January 26th and it didn't have a release
date in it, just that the game would have an European release this year.

Thanks Kenneth.
I never saw the original game, either. Is it Swedish Touring Car
Championship or Scandinavian TCC. I'm all confused !!

Yeah, but will it just be the same game?  Or will it feature
different cars/tracks?!

Oh, and *when*?!

I know, I know, the moon on a stick and all that... ;-)

Swedish TCC.

I still can't believe Americans and continental Europeans playing our
bush-league series... :-)

As far as I could tell from the Press release, it will be the Sweedish
Touring  Car  Championship.  Left-over BTCC touring cars.  On some pretty
cool
Sweedish race tracks.  (Small tight courses + Super Tourers = Big Fun)

Maybe Davilex can develop DTCC based on the "fantasticA2 racer engine"...

:-p

That's fair enough.

However, I played the demo, and found the physics and AI pretty
poor.

Is it improved in the real game?  And with the patch?
