GPL - what FF wheel to buy?

GPL - what FF wheel to buy?

So, the 1.1 patch seems to be there... :)

There has been so much talk of the greatness of the FF-wheel
implementation of GPL patch 1.1 that perhaps it now is the time
of buying one...

But what FF-wheel/pedals is the good/best for GPL 1.1?

Arto

PS Is it necessary to make all the wonderfull changes to the scenery and
everything - that we've got earlier from the net - after using the
   patch?

PS2 Will the new tracks work after the patch? Especially BH, but also
    the CART and N99 converts?

Since the Logitech is reported to use less CPU cycles
to produce a FF effect I would certainly check those
first. Especially if GPL is your main concern.

I love my Logitech wheel,  but you should try out as many as you can to see
what works best for you.

The first thing you must do is read the README 1.1 file that comes with the
new patch. It explains all the changes and how to "turn on" force feedback.
I had to replace the gpl.exe in the sim with the one from the CD, then load
the patch, then run GPL Season to return the Cooper and Honda names to my
files. I copied the nessary lines for the core.ini file to implement force
feedback and went racin'. None of the scenery or new track files were
overwritten or missing.
