I have just got back from Holiday to find 1.1 out.. I thought the FF was
amazing..

Has there been any news on GPal?

I also must get back into online racing.....

        Just a guess, but, I think the GPaL wont be out till the patch for
GPL1.1 is out.  My reasoning is that GPal was announced just a tick
before the GPL1.1 was announced as being worked on.  Then, when ever
there was talk that the GPL1.1 would be out in a day or two, GPaL was
also announced as being released in a day or two.  Then when GPL1.1 was
announced as being delayed for another day or two.. so was GPaL.  Then
GPL 1.1 was going to be released.. GPaL was going to be released.
ect... back and forth as if GPaL was waiting for the release of 1.1
before GPaL would be released..

        Then GPL1.1 was released!  GPaL was going to be released a day or two
later.  Then everyone started to find major bugs in GPL1.1... GPaL was
announced that it would be released at a much later date..

        That's the best way I can explain it.. GPaL is waiting for a good copy
of GPL 1.X before it's released.  So, My best guess with all this info
to look at is GPaL will be released one week after GPL 1.2.  I'll take a
shot in the dark and say that that will be in early-mid October.

That's certainly news to me. The last I heard was that John was days,
if not hours, from releasing it, just fixing last-minute installation
issues, when he had a computer meltdown that he is not yet fully
recovered from.

I see no reason why GPaL would work any differently with the next
version of GPL. GPL 1.2 will just have a few internal communication
bug fixes as far as I've heard - the command set that GPaL uses is
very unlikely to change.
