I have been running a pci 8meg thriller for 6 months and did get a funky
screen a coulpe of times early on. It also wouldn't hold the gamma setting
or resolution for awhile but they both work now... wierd computer thing.

Hi all,

I've been having a strange new problem since I've installed my new
Thriller3D AGP 8Mb.  At some point, for no reason, the menus get
scrambled up, and all letters on that page look blurry and are totally
unreadable.  If I go to the game and come back everything is back to
normal.  This is kinda annoying...

Anyone's had these kind of troubles or am I the chosen one?

And don't tell me to stop drinking, I'm not!

I think I've had something similar (same card).  A couple of times
after running several online races a few weeks back it did this.  I
had to either restart GPL or reboot Win95 to fix it (I forget).
Haven't seen it since.  I assumed it was some sort of online glitch.
Maybe it's overheating or a hardware fault?  I'm using the latest (85)
drivers.  As a side note, I sure wish they'd fix the gamma setting so
I didn't have to reset it every time I reboot.  :(

One more data point...  I was just connected to a friend who was
hosting an online race and his computer developed this font
corruption.  This is the first time he's experienced this.  The
interesting point -- he has an 8 meg VooDoo2.  Otherwise, he has
basically the same computer as me (C300A/450, Abit BH6, 128 meg to my
64 meg, Voodoo2 to my Thriller 8/AGP -- great minds think alike :).

BTW, he's seen other video corruption due to his Voodoo2
overheating (we believe), but that was different than this.

Yep, I got the PCI version. You don't have to leave the game. When you
jump in the***pit and back, it is back to normal.

Hmm. With other words, you are drinking, and refuse to stop. Are you
sure it is only the screen which look blurry? :-)

I have exactly the same problem periodically with a 4Mb Diamond Stealth
S220 (Rendition V2100). Been thinking of moving up to the Thriller3D to
run 800x600 at 35fps.
