1) I was at onionring (that greman track) and got stuck
in the bushes (forward or reverse gears were of no
use). I hit em hard (diagonally) going into a turn
and the car show half on one side, and half on the
other. I had to escape back to pits to resolve the
issue.

2) The sound is screwy - i get static instead of tire
sqealing in Rendition mode.

I had this at Monaco. Just got out of the tunnel and hit the bails with my
front right.. car stopped dead and I couldn't get out! Of course I had
damage set to none :-) Maybe this had something to do with it...
Also several times at Silverstone I ended up balanced on the fence!

It's quite possible to impale your car on some of the trackside objects.
If allowed, use Shift-R to get back on the track. If Shift-R is
disabled (in a GP level race for example) don't go off the track... =)

What soundcard do you have? What drivers? You might want to try
reducing the max number of sounds heard to see if it makes a difference.

Sounds like you got your car actually stuck in to the bushes, so that is why
your car couldn't go anywhere.
