I'm not sure why the demo isn't finishing downloading..
However, you said you seem to have the files on your computer. The original
installation was somewhat flawed anyhow.. When you run the exectuable (to
install), it first uncompresses all the files into one "sierra" directory.
It then RECOPIES the files to another directory, so you end up with two
copies of essiantially the same files..
Unfortunately, I found (and others did too), that if you ran the gpl.exe
file from the WRONG directory, the program would crash. Following the
instructions that have been posted here many times, it is possible to get
the thing up and running. What I did was to hit "Cancel" after the first
unzipping part.
You then need to move a few files around, change file attributes to get the
thing to work. They are on my web site, and probably have also been posted
here in the last few days. My site is at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/~drbryan/gpl
I'm sorry for not including the text here, but I've been very busy the last
few days answering probably a HUNDRED (I'm not exaggerating) emails, after I
originally posted the Monza demo.
My fingers are getting tired!! Hope you understand.
If this does NOT work, the GPL demo is also available for download from the
"files" section of the great APEX GPL site at http://www.racesimcentral.net/
Hope this helps.. this is a demo not to be missed!
