>It's no Rally Trophy ! Or Rally Championship, for that matter. But it's a bit better than

>I thought the navigator was terrible ! He gets so far in front or behind in his corner

>Nothing outstanding going on here.
To each their own I guess, but Halo is still arguably the best FPS in existance
(so far) and Amped is easily the best snowboard SIM out there. There aren't too
many games on the Xbox that haven't impressed me and only a few (like ObiWan)
have really disappointed me. As for RalliSport...
My navigator was dead on listing the next 2-3 "terrain features" in advance.
The rate of his narration also seemed dependent on my current speed so if I was
going faster he would give me more info. It was also amazingly ACCURATE info
like "don't cut the turn - loose gravel on the inside" or "medium left - caution
- rocks on the outside" or my favorite "caution - exposure" which has kept me
from plummeting off the side of a mountain on more than one occasion.
The verbal instructions are also accompanied by icons that drop down from the
top but I almost tune these out now and concentrate on mainting "the line". I
also like the fact that you score for each round is also affected by your car
damage - a good incentive for driving clean!
Control is dead on with either the standard controller or the MC2 wheel. I had
to play around with the calibration to get the wheel to perform as tight as the
controller but in the end it was worth it. I get much more accurate gas and
braking with the full range of the pedals vs. the left/right triggers on a
gamepad.
