Have connected modem to modem with two others, one at a time.  Have bps
set at 21600.  Haven't tried any other speed setting. I did add the
core.ini file suggested by Randy at GPL amd set win.ini file as Alison's
site recommends.  The core.ini file has two lines

[ Communications ]
assumedModemConnectSpeed = 21600

and is placed in the GPL folder.

Go to http://www.racesimcentral.net/~alison/gpl/ for win.ini set up
instruction.

Im not sure which file was responsible for success since I did both at
same time, but suspect it was the core.ini file.

Has anyone managed to do a modem to modem connect in GPL. We have tried
to connection at all sorts of line speeds, but without any success. The
manual isn't very helpful here.

GPL modem connection problems

I have had  trouble connecting with my friend as well.  We always seem to
finally get connected and it is stable once we do.  We have changed the
modem connect speed but it seems to make little difference as to when we get
connected or at what speed.  All I can tell you is that modem 2 modem does
work, I wish I could tell you what to change to make it work but it is still
a mystery.
