Hi
after GPL stopped working for an unknown reason(no changes made)
i decided it was time for a reinstall, and checking funcionality at every
step
however it installs normally but it still starts and then at the first
screen CTD's
I have tried installing it in a different folder, on a different partition
I have looked in the registry after uninstalling and could find nothing
referring to sierra/papy/gpl
the original istall stopped working after installing wolfenstein
remember the reinstall is a bare version of GPL and it still won't
start......

my sys specs are:
P3/800
GF2GTS (23.11) drivers
384Mb
MSI6309 mainboard Via chipset

it ran perfectly in this setup for about 6 months

can anybody help?

Have you installed the 1.2 and D3D patches from www.papy.com?

Wolfenstein probably installed DirectX 8, that sounds like the root of the
problem. However, GPL runs just fine on DX8 (or 8.1)

I had DX8.1 on before I installed wolfenstein, and it ran fine then, as you
said

1. GPL Movie Player - installed it, now GPL won't run, even with uninstall

2. GPL: Installed Win98 = no more GPL... HELP!

3. GPL is SLOW after GPL 1.1 patch install

4. 'Canned' spins

5. GPL won't install

6. Can't install 1.1 over existing GPL!!!

7. Why won't GPL 1.2 update my install???

8. HELP: GPL won't re-install!
