I execute the TrackInstall.exe program, select the gpl install directory, click
Install Track, and a dialog appears that says the track has been installed. The
67season.ini and gp.ini are updated with the new track information, but the
tracks\keimola directory is empty. This is the 67season and gp ini file:

name=Race of Champions

numberOfLaps=95

When GPL is started, Keimola does not appear in the track selections. Tried manually
copying the install files over to the tracks/keimola directory, but that didn't
help.

Any tricks to getting Keimola installed? Had no problems with all the other extra
track installations.

For some reason the installer doesn't work for everybody. You can
install Keimola manually and the guide to do that should be at our
site at http://turn.to/Keimola

Anyway, here's what you need to do:

Copy the six *.lp files to \gpl\tracks\keimola directory along with
record.ini and track.ini. Then you need to rename the "dat" file to
"keimola.dat" and copy that there too. After this you should have 9
files in the Keimola directory:

keimola.dat
maxrace.lp
minrace.lp
pass1.lp
pass2.lp
pit.lp
race.lp
record.ini
track.ini

Since the season ini-files were updated correctly that should be all.

Thanks, that did the trick. The 'secret' was to rename dat to keimola.dat.

Just a thought: I have GPL installed in c:\games\sierra\gpl, and not the more usual
c:\sierra\gpl. Maybe that is why the install fails?

By the way, Keimola is great.

Nope.. .I have e:\games\sierra\gpl
and the Keimola installers (all of them) worked.

And yep, Keimola is great track in terms of excellent driving rhytm

No, that isn't a problem. I myself have GPL installed in
d:\games\sierra\gpl and the installer works fine. Only thing that
could cause problems is that if you move \gpl out of the \sierra
sub-directory but I'm not sure about that because I didn't write the
installer program.
