what are yours?

BEST
Ascari (Monza) - under the bridge and up to the full-out left-hander.
sweet.

WORST
the hairpin at Rouen - if this seperates the men from the boys, then i'm
in short pants.

Favorite: Zandvoort - Actually it's a series of about four turns from
Gerlachbocht through Jan de Wyker. Achim Trenz put Zandvoort into
perspective. It's not how you take any one turn, but how you "compromise"
through all of the turns to make the best lap.  Slow turns, fast turns,
elevation changes...a good lap at Zandvoort is like sweet music.

Least Favorite: Watkins Glen -  That last damn turn. You know..."the
annoying 90." Not that it's a poorly designed corner. It's simply hard to do
well consistently and at the same time makes or breaks your lap.

How about the uphill section after turn 1 in Monaco. That's a very easy
section, but it is fun to watch on TV and make passes

Hey bud,

How's CMR?

My favorite turn... I will go for a track. I would say Zandvort... put a wheel
wrong and you are out of the race.

Actually, while I'm no ace at Rouen (not a lot of laps there), I find
that hairpin to be probably the easiest in the game.  It's all a case of
slowing down enough in advance to get into it and get the hole shot out.
If you go into it too hot, you're screwed...and what's up with the
invisible wall all around that corner?

I find the Mexico hairpin much more difficult to get through cleanly
and consistently.

I like fast uphill sections, where you can see the track stretching
before you - like at Kyalami, coming out of the last turn and blasting
up and over the hill, through The Kink.

I'd probably love Eau Rouge as well, but I always have my eyes shut
through there :o)

Yup, I vote for that scary one at Nrburgring (I bet you're talking
about that left hander at the end of the long long straight under that
bridge) for sheer fright! Spa's got a few good corners as well...

best: that fast one two thirds of the way round Rouen (I forget its name)
worst: the first corner at the ring, its just too easy to outbrake yourself
there! :o)

Best: Mosport after the hairpin, that whole uphill section where you
are building up to top gear all the way up to that ever tightening right
hander. Honorable mention Spa Malmady love the left-right-up-down, feels
great when you get it just right.

Worst: Monaco: that damned chicane after the tunnel... this section
has caused more crashes for me than any other place in GPL.

Seeyas on the track.

Best - It's gotta be Antoniusbuche at the 'Ring. Also Masta, Eau Rouge
and Rouen's Gresil turn get partial honours. But in a Lotus, every
corner is, er, interesting...

Worst - Rouen's Virage hairpin, Nurburgring's Turn 1, and that one after
the little hill at Mosport... is it turn 9R ?

Oh my... all of them ;-)   . More seriously... Masta Kink is extraordinaire.
I also love Ex-M?lhe at the 'Ring, well the corner before also.  There's a
great camera set there just on the bridge.

Tiergarten (the fast left after autoniusbutche) is great also. Grsil at
Rouen. Burnenville at Spa.  *** at Monaco with the little hill on the
left side of the road exiting it. It's a great sensation when you lift the
RF there over it.  My last choice would be the first and last turn at
Mexico. They are great. I really love to trail-brake for T1...

WORST

first turn at the 'Ring also is very hard.  It's hard mentally also, since
you really say in your head "Oh ok, there's 175corners left.. hmm yeah <g> "
. ;-)      . Finally, after at least 50laps Im unable to find the good line
for "Chicane" at Monaco.  It's about the only turn in GPL when I know before
the corner if I will crash or not hehe.
