Installing Saitek R100 Wheel - Joystick Port version

by kenneth pecke » Mon, 22 Oct 2001 06:55:18

I have just bought an R100 to install on a Windows 98 machine.  I
connected the unit to the joystick port of my on-board SIS sound card
and I have connected the pedals.

Windows did not recognise any new hardware and I have had limited
success using the joystick control panel.  The wheel and buttons work
but not the foot paddles.  Please can anyone tell me what settings
they have used to make their R100 work.

Many thanks

Ken

Hi,

Did you install using the CD that comes with the wheel?  I have a force r4
wheel and that only partially works unless you use the provided CD to
install drivers.

When you are in the joystick calibration routine, make SURE you
depress both pedals. If you forget and just turn the wheel, then the
pedals won't work. Been there, done that.
