F1RS install question: How do you choose D3D?

by Galley, the Digital Dude » Sat, 08 Aug 1998 04:00:00

I just installed an ATI Expert '98 (8 MB Rage Pro Turbo) card in my PC.
I've owned F1RS for months but haven't been able to play it because I only
had 2MB video memory.  When I try to install, the system detects that I have
a 3Dfx card, which I don't.  It is my understanding that I would have to
choose a Direct 3d installation, but only the 3Dfx ones are available.  When
I click on "other", I then see the D3D choices, but how do I select them?
Here's my system's specs. if that will help:
AMD K6 233Mhz MMX
64MB RAM
ATI rage pro turbo 8MB

To the best of my knowledge the ATI is working fine, because Fox Sports Golf
'99, and the NFSIII demo would not run without it.  Thanks.
