5.0.  The problem is that F1RS won't run!  The screen goes black,
changes resolution 3 times, and crashes.  Anybody have a similar
problem?

Do you get an error msg.? Which?
Maybe you need more harddisk space, cant run with less than 40-50 MB free.

Does your card support D3D hardware acceleration?

One of my friend also has an ATI card and he can't play F1RS.  UbiSoft
tried to help him but it seems there was nothing to do...

I play the game with a Matrox Mystique, but a 3Dfx card would of
course be better.

Your color palette must be in 16 bit. I'm playing it on my Ati
