F1RS buggy D3D version

Hi all!

I bought F1RS after checking that my sytem meets the  minimum hardware
spec as printed on the box. For my box (German) this is:

Pentium 120
D3D card that does 640x480x16
16 Megs RAM etc.

Well I have a K6 200, 64 Megs RAM and a STB Nitro 3D with 4MB. While
this is far from beeing a top setup, I thought I could at least make
it run without full detail. Sadly, the graphics are completly broken
(trees at 90 degrees to the track, square wheels, corrupted***pit
graphics...).

I tried the various drivers for the Nitro (generic virge GX,
microsoft, STB) and the .03 .04 and .05 patches but no improvement.

Tech support from Ubi Germany quickly replied with an automated "to do
list", giving tips that I had already tried - but no real help from
them yet. I went on to Ubi France, who replied that I'm lucky that it
runs at all since my card was not among the ones stated on the box...

Well, to sum it up I'm really upset (trying not to swear...) about
Ubisofts marketing tactics, since it is so obvious they rushed the D3D
version to get the game on the shelves in time for christmas...
