Sorry if I missed this, which version of Direct3D is the game going to require?

During the install the pop box says DX9, but the graphics config utility
says its DX8.1.  I'm running DX8.1 without any problems. The only issue I
have with the demo is some times the start your engines stutters, but thats
it.

If you have an ATI card you'll probably want to go with DX9 and their latest
drivers. They are suppose to really pick it up.
