F1RC - Any AI Improvements??

by Peter Hoope » Tue, 10 Apr 2001 07:54:47

Hi all,

Well, I have spent some time tonight giving F1RC another bash and
although I feel there is a decent sim under there somewhere it is
being totally killed by the junk AI cars. I have been trying to run a
race at Brazil but am being constantly ploughed into from behind
(especially at turn 4) and getting put out of the race. It doesn't
seem to matter where on the track you put your car they will find you
anyway.

If this wasn't frustrating enough the AI cars also seem prone to
piling up at times and just staying there for lap after lap. At one
point there was a mass of cars sitting at the slow right hander (Bico
Do Pato) and they stayed there for about 3 laps.

Is there a setting somewhere (an ini file or something) that can
improve the way these cars behave??

Hope someone has found a way to do this as it is a real shame to see
the sim ruined by this.

Regards

PH

Cant wait for the AI patch either :)   Try following a car in practice,
having a really good go until all of a sudden you get right into the draft,
and then they jam on their brakes. Its a shame to see such a *promising*
game ruined by a few small things, including AI.
