Split Times in GPL ?

Is there a way to see your split times in GPL ?  I am seriously trying to
improve myself now. No more pissing about with other sims for a while.  I
have managed a 1.30:99 at Monza with a Ferrari and Alison H's set-up's. So,
feeling quite pleased with myself and somewhat***y, I thought I would give
Mexico a blast. Oooops. Back down to earth with a loud crash ! What a
diabolical track that is.
I'll give Mexico a miss and have a go at something a little easier.

Am I the only one who find Mexico quite funny ?

I hate that track but it's part of GPL so in a way you
have to love it too.

Ted,

Replay Analyser has always had a 25%/50%/75% splut time display so
you can compare laps of your own or against others' laps. The latest
version now has these split points highl;ighted on the track map.

There is also a utility called GST.EXE which gives you more detailed
split times for individual laps. It's a dos utility and it gives you
output like this (squashed to fit)
***********************************************
*  Split Timing Information

I've looked around for it but can't find out where I got it. I noticed
Dave Noonan has done something similar (may be the same) on
the US Pits (www.theuspits.com) GPL->Urilities section.

If you want GST I can email it you or post it to the binaries group,
it's only 141k (remove GPL from my email address to send me mail).

Does this util only work on replay files ? I was hoping there something that
showed split times as you drive.
Thanks for the response, though.

Nothing I know of, the best you can do is modify your pit board
location to at least give you the time for the lap you just finished.
All the Info is here : http://www.***jeans.de/gpl/Pitboard.htm

That will do nicely. Thanks Maxx.
Also. How do you verify your lap times ? I see the export feature, but this
just churns out an .html file. Would it be best to save replays ?

I have trained on it for about a week now. Every day a few laps. I wasn't
making progress at all. Until this morning when I got a lap time that was 5
seconds faster than my pb...

Sure - about as funny as a root canal...

I like the track, but I am getting frustrated at my
inability to drive in any consistent way. Only through T1 to T4
I have variation of over 1 second, "esses" also contribute
at least a second :<

GPL will only save your best lap times for the 11 included circuits.
The only way to get times logged for the others is to save the replay
and use Replay Analyser which will create a very detailed HTML
"suite" showing best times for all tracks.

If you ever got involved in hotlap competitions, then you would
need to have saved a replay and send it off.

If it just for your own info, you could just write it down.
