Help N2 DOS/4GW error!

by ZOLTA » Wed, 01 Jul 1998 04:00:00

I tried to re-install my Nascar 2 CD rom (hadn't played in a while so I

have a Cyrix P200+ with 64MB RAM, a 32x CDROM, and a Diamond (S3) Stealth
3000 video card.  I installed the DOS version using "install" from the CD,
made a boot disk like the sierra website sez to, and I get the following
error after the N2 movie plays from the cd;

DOS/4GW Professional error (2001):exception 06h (invalid opcode) at
200:021025

Followed by about 1/2 a screen of technobabble (which I'm sure means
something to someone out there..).

Anyhow, I'm booting with a clean floppy, no other programs are running, and
I've tried re-installing it a bunch of times.  I even downloaded the demo
and it does the same thing.  I figure it's something in my memory
configuration, but I don't even load a memory manager (per Sierra's
instructions).  HELP!   (thanks)

Have you applied the patches found at www.sierra.com?  I am not sure
that they will help, but it's a good starting place.
